FAQ
Will this year’s festival be 100% online?
We’re thrilled to announce a hybrid 2022 festival! While all films, shorts programs and events will be available online this year, Planet in Focus will host an in-person Opening Night Gala at stackt market, live screenings at the Paradise Theatre and the live Industry Conference at the Centre for Social Innovation Spadina. Purchase tickets for all the events here.
How can we see the films?
Select films in the program will be available across Canada through our website, with limited exceptions based on province or LIVE ONLY status. Once you have selected a virtual film and paid for your ticket or pass, you will receive an email with a link to access the film during the festival dates. From the time you hit play, you will have 48 hours to finish watching the film. You can start watching any time within the festival dates, starting on October 13 at 12:00 pm until the extended streaming period ends on October 23 at 11:59pm.
I purchased a pass, now what?
If you purchased and All Access Fest Pass or Paradise Pass for the in-person festival events, all you need to show at the door is your proof of purchase. We recommend arriving before the festival event start time to ensure you have a seat. Doors to the cinema will open one hour before the listed start time.
What do I do if I missed my 48 hour window? Can you reset it for me?
No. Unfortunately, once you’ve hit play and the 48 hour window has expired, we cannot renew the ticket. If you are experiencing technical difficulties to finish watching the film, please see the Technical Support Q&A below.
How much do tickets cost?
This year, tickets range depending on the format. Visit the Tickets & Venues page for more information and to purchase individual films, a Paradise Pass, Virtual Pass or the All Access Pass. With these passes you can see as many Planet in Focus films as you care to!
Will there be any FREE events?
Yes! We will be uploading Q&A-style conversations with our three 2022 Eco-Heroes, and expert Industry Conference panels live at the Centre for Social Innovation, and the annual Free Family Day taking place at the Paradise Theatre.
I am having problems purchasing tickets, or accessing my tickets.
